Miss Donna brings over 30 years of experience teaching swim lessons across Colorado, Texas, California, Florida, and Washington.

Infant Aquatics® Certified Professional Survival Swim Instructor
Swim Angelfish® Certified Instructor, specializing in children who learn differently
CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified
Specialized in teaching children with special needs

She has extensive experience working with individuals with autism, anxiety, sensory needs, and motor challenges.

At Swim Shine Aquatics, Miss Donna is part of a network of dedicated professionals who share a passion for water safety and swimming. She is dedicated to teaching life-saving survival skills so children can enjoy the water safely and confidently.

Her approach combines proven teaching methods, child development principles, and the physics of swimming to create safe, effective, and transformational lessons. All instructors complete extensive in-water training along with education in child development and behavior support.

Background & Personal Life

Miss Donna grew up in Southern California, surrounded by water and aquatic sports, and swam competitively through Junior College.

She’s a proud mom of five and enjoys spending time with her family outdoors — kayaking, paddleboarding, jet skiing, and swimming. At home, she loves relaxing with her goldendoodles, Finn and Daisy.
